Breath is life

Breath is life.

In my exploration, study, and evolving relationship with my breath, I learned when I rush (which was way more often than ideal), I hold the breath.  When I slowed, there was a noticeable sigh.  Ahhh. In my greater awareness, I notice the space between my breaths. There’s a space after the inhale. Another after the exhale. I’m exploring extending these spaces. No goal, just exploration.

What’s there to see?

  1. When I focus on my breath, it becomes more rhythmic and even. Otherwise I’ve noticed that my inhale can be very short and sharp. And my exhale can be incomplete.

  2. I’m experiencing a joy in extending the space. Call it holding your breath or whatever, but I find it fun to play with the breath. I feel a bit elated sometimes after breath focus.

  3. Focusing on the breath brings me into the present moment. I guess I could’ve just started and ended with that. It’s everything.  Cuz breath is life.  hat lies in the stillness of the dawn. Embrace the unknown, and watch as each mindful morning transforms into a journey of self-discovery and renewal.
